Whether you have overstock, surplus, discontinued product lines, display materials, or are involved in remodeling projects where reusable materials are being replaced with new, we may want it! Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)3 charity, so donations are tax deductible. To see our corporate donor recognition program, follow this link.

We ask for your cooperation in donating only materials that are truly reusable. Please understand that if we feel that we cannot sell an item, we reserve the right to decline the donation, so that ReStore profits are used to build homes, and not pay for disposal fees.

The list of what we can and cannot accept changes, depending on current inventory and sales. Please always call ahead before bringing materials to ReStore (847-742-9905) and ask to speak with our Procurement Manager Deanna Davies. Or contact Deanna by email by clicking here.

Drop Off Time

We encourage you to bring your donations to ReStore anytime during our store hours. Do not leave items outside ReStore when we are closed. Please call the ReStore with any questions in regards to donations at (847) 742-9905 Wed-Sat. We reserve the right to refuse any donation for any reason, please call ahead before donating.

At ReStore and Habitat for Humanity Northern Fox Valley, we are grateful for monetary donations in any amount. All donations are tax deductible. All monies raised stay in Kane County, improving the community and the quality of life for everyone.

Donate Warehouse Equipment

We are in need of warehouse racking, shopping carts, retail shelving, pallet lifts, hand carts, work bench and tools. Contact Store Manager Jeremy Keen at (847) 742-9905.

Donate Time & Expertise

These days, time is money, and we can use every minute you can give. We are an organization that exists because of volunteers, and at the ReStore we can use your help with retail customer service, section managers (e.g, electrical, millwork, etc.), donation pick-ups, store organization, and the receiving area. We can use your expertise in retail, construction, plumbing, electrical, computer, or accounting. And, bring your friends! ReStore is currently accepting: • Cabinets, new and used, up-to-date with all parts and not damaged or water stained • Plumbing, complete usable fixtures, parts and supplies • Electrical, useable fixtures, parts and supplies • New Windows, complete with insulated glass, (no broken glass) • Hardware, knobs, hinges, locks, nails, cabinet pulls, nuts, bolts, screws (in factory boxes only) • Lumber, at least 6’ in length • Exterior Doors, w/ or w/o jambs (no broken glass) • Latex only, Full cans in good condtion • Interior Doors, We are currently at capacity, We are not accepting doors • Roofing (full bales only) • Insulation (full bales only) • Carpet, new only, rolled and labeled with size • Tools: Hand, garden, working power • Flooring: wood, ceramic tile (min 3 boxes), vinyl (new) • Millwork/trim, 6’ lengths minimum • Miscellaneous: masonry, sheathing siding, drywall supplies • Appliances, clean and in good working order, less than 10 years old • Furniture, not upholstered • Countertops, squared off ends only, granite, solid surface, no laminate • Landscaping blocks, bricks and materials, clean ReStore cannot accept: • Clothing/home goods, exercise equipment, pianos, musical instruments, etc • Lead-based materials • Used toilets • Tub surrounds (unless new) • Oil based paint, stain or stain, open & partial cans or cans in poor condition • Toxic materials • Blinds, used • Wallpaper (unless new and unopened) • Items that are broken or with parts missing • Carpet pad, used • Fireplaces (unless new, unused) • Exterior shutters, used • Aluminum or vinyl siding (unless new in factory boxes) • Window parts or pieces, storm windows • Used carpeting or vinyl flooring • Pieces under 6’ of lumber, drywall, styrofoam, etc. • Used hot water heaters** • Car accessories • Glass • Mirrors without frames
