Retail With a Mission

ReStore Elgin is a 40,000 sq. ft. building materials reuse center benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley.  ReStore accepts donated new and gently used goods from retailers, manufacturers, distributors, contractors and homeowners. Building supplies are then sold, at greatly reduced prices, to the general public. The store's operation generates funds to support Habitat’s house building program in the northern Fox Valley area, while reducing the amount of material that would otherwise go to overflowing landfills.

At ReStore, we’re keeping stuff out of landfills, raising money to build homes, and making low-cost materials available to those who otherwise may not be able to afford them.

ReStore Workshops

ReStore Elgin is proud to partner with WIND's own Rich Cowgill ,host of Sweet Home Chicago, to bring monthly interactive home improvement workshops to ReStore.   Learn the right way to do you home improvement from a noted expert in the field.   Please click on our events page to view a schedule of upcoming workshops.  Rich's show airs Sundays from 12:00 to 1:00PM to answer your home improvement and repair questions, 560 on your radio dial.
